The idea

Built like a driveway: layer by layer.

A paver never starts with the bricks. First the ground, then the foundation, then the sand bed. That's how we built Yek's website too. Scroll along and watch the layers form.

  1. 01Subsoil = The company

First, know what you're building on.

We started with Yek itself: more than fifteen years of craftsmanship, a steady team and the round logo with the pickaxe. The About page tells that story briefly and without fuss.

  2. 02Foundation = The structure

    A foundation that won't sink.

Four services, each with its own page: decorative paving, re-paving, earthmoving and landscaping. Projects get a place name and a page of their own. Whatever visitors look for, they find it in two clicks.

  3. 03Bedding sand = The process

    Perfectly level, no surprises.

From first meeting to aftercare in five clear steps. Customers know in advance what will happen, just as a neatly screeded sand bed shows exactly how the paving will lie.

  4. 04Pavers = The design

    Only then come the bricks.

Only once the base is right do you get what everyone sees: a homepage set against real paving, the Sora and Poppins typefaces, and the same orange as the logo everywhere.

Learning the trade first

What exactly is herringbone?

yekdienst.nl features a driveway in "fired clay pavers in a herringbone pattern". Before we drew a single pixel, we learned words like these from our client. Pick a pattern and watch the same bricks being relaid.

The specification

Six items, neatly delivered.

In construction, the specification states exactly what will be delivered. This is the one for the website: the details that turn a visitor into a customer.

  1. Item 01

    A quote within 48 hours

The quote form asks straight away what a paver needs to know: type of service, area in m², budget and preferred finish.

    ✓
  2. Item 02

A spam check without the hassle

No puzzles with traffic lights, just a simple sum. Spam stays out, customers get through.

    ✓
  3. Item 03

    Call or WhatsApp

The phone number sits under every call to action, and the footer has a WhatsApp button. Customers choose how they get in touch.

    ✓
  4. Item 04

Key figures in one black bar

Years of experience, projects, happy customers and craftspeople: at a glance, in the brand's orange.

    ✓
  5. Item 05

    Projects with a place name

Rijswijk, Voorburg, Delft. Local visitors instantly recognise work close to home.

    ✓
  6. Item 06

    The logo as a badge

The round logo overlaps the navigation, like a seal of craftsmanship at the top of every page.

    ✓

In motion

From sand bed to website.

Digging, laying the foundation, screeding and then placing the pavers, one by one. Once the last brick is down, they flip over and the website appears.

Brand identity

Orange like a site sign.

The logo says it all: a pickaxe, a half circle of paving and the stones of the sand bed beneath it. That orange is the site's signal colour, black brings calm, and green stands for the gardens Yek creates.

  • Asphalt black#000000
  • Garden green#228B22
  • Concrete grey#F5F5F5
